To take home a First Place Prize
for their Internet Web Site in the

Winners @ the Web 2000 competition.

W@W, Winners at the Web Entrant Plade Ltd learned earlier today February 21. 2000 that the company's World Wide Web Site was selected as a finalist from over 300 entries in one of the most prestigious competitions for recognition in the area of marketing through the utilisation of E-commerce and the internet.

 Gregor Egan, Plade managing director, remarked that they were very pleased that the company's Internet Web site has been selected to go forward to the Winners at the Web Awards Presentation on March 9. 2000. He went on to say "The fact that the Winners at the Web Award is directly aimed at the business community we represent and promote makes it all the more worth while."  
 W@W recognises and rewards companies and organisations in Scotland who are achieving real business benefits through use of internet technologies and are demonstrating excellence. Building on the success of the previous competitions,

Winners at the Web 2000 was launched on 21 September 1999 by the Scottish Enterprise Network.

With over 300 high quality entries last year from all over Scotland, Winners at the Web has quickly established itself as Scotland's e-commerce competition, and this year incorporates the ISI/Interforum E-Commerce Awards.

Congratulations! The final judging panel for Winners at the Web 2000
has met and your company has been selected as a finalist.

This year's competition attracted over 300 high quality entries from companies and organisations throughout Scotland from the Highlands to the Borders.

The judges had an extremely difficult task in selecting the finalists and there were many excellent entries. Some of the finalists will be featured in a case study booklet that we will forward to you at the end of April.Many thanks for your support and contribution to making this a prestigious and exciting competition and for your contribution in moving Scotland forward in a digital age.  The prestigious Awards Ceremony will be held at Glasgow's Hilton Hotel 9th March.

The event commences at 1130 with a champagne reception and should conclude around 1500.
